Restore purchases and resolve access issues
Restore an existing subscription or eligible previous purchase before buying again.

Quick answer
Connect to the internet, check that the App Store uses the Apple Account that made the purchase, and open Little Tagger. On Choose Your Plan, click Restore Purchase below the plan cards. If an offline access message appears, use Try Again after reconnecting. Do not buy again simply because verification failed.
Restore access
- Confirm which Apple Account made the Little Tagger purchase and check the account used in the App Store.
- Connect the Mac to the internet.
- Open Little Tagger. If the app shows a locked access screen, choose Choose Plan to open the plan screen.
- Click Restore Purchase below the plan cards. Wait while it shows Restoring....
- Complete any Apple sign-in request and allow the app to finish checking access.
Restoration checks an existing purchase. It does not start a new purchase, restart a trial, or migrate missing presets from an earlier app installation.
If you already have working access, there is no need to repeat this process as routine maintenance.
Read the access message
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| Purchase status could not be verified offline | Reconnect, then use Try Again or Restore Purchase when offered. This message is not proof that the purchase expired. |
| A valid purchase is required to use Little Tagger | Use Choose Plan, then restore before considering a new purchase. |
| Apple shows the subscription as active, but the app is locked | Restore using the purchasing account and retain the exact error if it still fails. |
| The trial or subscription has ended | Restoration cannot create a new active period. Review the currently available offer only if you intend to subscribe. |
| A previous one-time purchase is not recognized | Follow Previous one-time purchase access; do not treat it as an expired trial. |
Check the account rather than app data
An app download on one Apple Account does not establish a subscription purchased with another account. Check your receipt and subscription details when several accounts are involved.
Apple's purchase-restoration guidance recommends using the same purchasing Apple Account and checking purchase restrictions. If restoration reports an error, restarting the app or Mac can be a later check after noting the message. Do not remove your app data as the first step.
A purchase that is still pending or awaiting confirmation should be resolved through its existing Apple transaction. Avoid repeatedly approving another offer while the result of the first is uncertain.
Separate purchase access from file access
A successful restore does not grant folder permissions or make an offline drive available. If the app opens but cannot read or tag files, use Set up folder and volume access.
Similarly, restoring a purchase does not recover an old tag-group arrangement or deleted preset. Data migration and licensing are separate, see Update from an earlier version.
When restoration still fails
Contact support with the app version, macOS version, the exact access message, and whether Apple shows an active subscription or an earlier app purchase. Say whether Restore Purchase completed, stayed busy, or returned an error.
Do not send an Apple Account password, verification code, or payment details. Start with the status and error.
