Find presets and workflows with Spotlight

Requirements

• Little Tagger 2.1.0 or later.
• macOS 26 or later.
• At least one saved preset or workflow.
• The Spotlight integration turned on in Settings > General.

Find and open a saved item

1. Open Spotlight with its keyboard shortcut, normally Command-Space.
2. Type Little Tagger.
3. When Spotlight offers it, press Tab to search within Little Tagger.
4. Type the name of the saved preset or workflow.
5. Open the result to select it in Little Tagger.

Spotlight’s layout can differ between macOS versions. Look for results named after your saved items and labelled Preset or Workflow.

What opening a result does

This is different from searching Spotlight for files that already have Finder tags. To process files, add them to the workspace and press Play, or use Apple Shortcuts.

Turn the integration on or off

Choose Settings > General > Find Presets and Workflows in Spotlight. Turning it off removes the items from Spotlight results. It does not delete your saved presets or workflows.

Missing or outdated results

• Check that your Mac runs macOS 26 or later.
• Check that the Spotlight setting is on.
• Check that the preset or workflow still exists and has the name you are searching for.
• Open Little Tagger after saving changes so they can be indexed.

Spotlight may need a moment to update after changes. Rebuilding the whole Spotlight index is not a routine first step.
